This book brings you writing from 39 local authors and came about following a series of conversations with Jim Lupton of The Nib Crib collective in Morecambe. Jim wanted the folk who attended the writing workshops and Get Your Words Out sessions (an inclusive event where you can come and read your writing aloud to a small audience) to have the opportunity of being published.

Together we put a call-out for anyone who lived or worked in Morecambe who considered themselves a Writer Type to submit a piece of writing on any subject, any genre, any length, to be included in an anthology showcasing the people who walk the streets of this town carrying stories in their heads.

When Big White Shed moved to Morecambe we were warmly welcomed in by the local community and quickly discovered that we were surrounded by creative people, and writers of all kinds - some professional, some just starting out, some published, some writing for themselves, poets, prose writers, storytellers, journalists, songwriters and artists using words instead of ink and paint.
